Fluid Pharma is proud to announce the official launch of Tat-Fit™, the first palatable tamoxifen formulation designed specifically for oral dosing in mice for transgenic research.
Developed using Fluid Pharma’s proprietary MicroCoat® technology, Tat-Fit™ is a taste-masked micro-pellet formulation that enables stress-free, consistent administration of tamoxifen through standard rodent feed. By eliminating the need for more invasive dosing methods, Tat-Fit™ supports improved animal welfare while delivering reliable and reproducible research outcomes.
The launch of Tat-Fit™ was marked by presentations at two leading scientific conferences in November.
The National Mouse Genetics Network (NMGN) conference
13–14 November, York
At the NMGN conference, the Fluid Pharma team introduced researchers to Tat-Fit™ and demonstrated how the innovative formulation supports ethical, non-invasive oral dosing in transgenic mouse studies. The event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with the scientific community and discuss how MicroCoat® technology is helping refine research practices.
The Laboratory Animal Science Association (LASA) Annual Meeting
17–19 November, West Midlands
The team then attended the LASA Annual Meeting, where Tat-Fit™ was showcased alongside a poster presentation and three-minute flash talk delivered in collaboration with the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute. The presentation highlighted new data on the product’s pharmacokinetics and bioavailability, generating significant interest among researchers and laboratory animal science professionals.
Throughout both events, discussions focused on the benefits Tat-Fit™ offers to the research community, including improved animal welfare during tamoxifen administration, more consistent gene recombination outcomes, and practical refinements in study design. The formulation also supports the principles of the 3Rs by helping researchers reduce stress associated with dosing while maintaining scientific rigour.
